What’s New in Figtree Version 20? Overview of new features and enhancements that have been incorporated into Figtree Version 20:Configurable Dashboard
Dashboard is a new facility which allow users to see graphical representation of their information and allows ready access to the information displayed. Currently available only via Web, it is planned to be integrated into the ‘Start Page’ (introduced in v18.0) in the back office (i.e. the one that currently offers access to modules, button-menus, recall and diary / task information).
You can now configure how you want your dashboard graphics to look.
The standard dashboard supports Diary, Tasks (if available) and Recall List, whereas there is a ‘Dashboard Premium’ (special feature license) that offers master file / table (e.g. claim, employee, vehicle, records, policies) analysis.

It allows the user to see their information grouped into more meaningful categories, to help prioritise their workload and also offer rapid access to information that they next need to work with. To some extent, it offers the user with the ability to see “the wood from the trees” in terms of information they require and what they should be doing next.
There is configurable criteria, defaulting to ‘Outstanding’ information specific to the user, but which can be expanded to do corporate review, etc. Dashboard allows this information to be categorised using different graph types (Bar, Area, Line, Pie, Meter), with each category being selectable to display the records matching that category in a record list, which can then be viewed (via clickable links) to access the information and all linked information (e.g. task that is linked to a claim that then has other parties, notes, a linked incident, investigation questionnaires, employee, policy etc. etc.) To some extent it is an alternative to operating the system using menus, and a system could be set up that only gave access to information via the Dashboard and nothing else if required.
Enhanced Relational Links
Relational links is a new technology which allows additional links to be defined between tables, which when combined with our ‘Records Management’ (multiple-purpose multi-table) technology allows us to build new tables with new relationships between the various tables, and therefore more complex systems catering to a greater number of applications, client requirements and also the ability to enhance systems for existing clients.
Login History Turning this option on will allow you to track the login activity in the system. It shows the username login, date and time stamps and whether user was able to login successfully or not plus notes column for activity messages. Login history is also available in CSV file.
Matrix The Figtree System introduces, via its customization features, the ability for coding data. As an example this could be for accidents (e.g. weather conditions, injury types or severity levels) or for risks (e.g. frequency versus likelihood). Through the Matrix each of these codes can be compared to another and presented graphically to complete the analysis. Not only is the user presented with the number of matches i.e. how many accidents were "severe" and involved "snow" as a weather condition, Figtree will also represent this statistic in a $ amount. This means that the user has both the numeric and financial impact for the risks being analyzed! "Traffic Lights" as a Warning! Making it easy to visualize the impact of a risk, the Matrix feature uses the classic green, amber, red of the "traffic lights" to 'position' a risk! Whether located in red (for warning) or green (for OK), the message is clear and direct! Medical Certificate Management A paid license key is required to access this new special feature for Figtree Workers Compensation module.
This feature is made available to help register and maintain medical certificates and return to work status in relation to workers compensation claims. Medical certificate management relates to the need to register and maintain medical certificates in relation to workers compensation claims. A medical certificate may declare different Return To Work status for different date ranges.
Multi-level Search
Specified criteria option has been added to allow users to further define searches to help reduce selection list.
Reports in PDF
Reports are now available in PDF format and they can be sent as an attachment via e-mail.
Validation Rules on cancelling transactions
Turning this option on will allow the user to configure whether validation checking should be used for transaction cancellation and user can choose whether to bypass the validation rule or not.
Vehicle Pool Management System
The Vehicle Pool Management System (VPMS) allow employees (and authorised contractors) to self-book a pool vehicle for business and private use. The system is designed to automate (where authorised) the self-booking and self serve hire of a pool vehicle.The system maintains a Pool Vehicle Hirer Profile that allows fast and 'pre-authorised' booking, pool vehicle hire and subsequent billing (or charging) with 'remote' access that can be controlled by the Pool Manager. The VPMS efficiently allocate vehicles to employees that have a temporary or short length vehicle need in a particular location.The objective of a Vehicle Pool System is to meet the maximum number of hire requests, with the most appropriate and cost effective vehicle, while minimising the total number of vehicles in the pool.The VPMS allow the user to:- Request a pool vehicle
- Book a pool vehicle
- Hire a pool vehicle (collect and return)
- Report on pool vehicle activities
